Love & Light Candles

The residents of the Sanctuary help out to produce natural beeswax candles. The aim of this project is to provide employment for 2 of our beneficiaries and help them to live a more independent and meaningful life.

Why bees wax? Here are some benefits of using beeswax candles:

Solid beeswax candles burn longer than regular paraffin or soy candles.

100% beeswax candles are natural, environmentally friendly, safe, and non-toxic as they undergo no chemical processing and are biodegradable. Being non-oil-based, they burn very clean with little smoke when trimmed properly.
Paraffin candles on the contrary, are a black sludge that is treated with 100% industrial strength bleach to change its color to white, creating toxic dioxins

Hypo-allergenic, beeswax candles benefit those with environmental allergies, sensitivities, and asthma. Paraffin candles are to be avoided by those with allergies or asthma conditions.
Health, recycling and the environment are all very important to Love Light Romania so beeswax candles are perfect for us. The residents of the Sanctuary. Our residential home for adults with disabilities help out with making the candles. One of our goals with this project is to be able to provide a wage to at least 2 of our beneficiaries.
