As the daughter of Jo Jowett and step daughter of Ron Jowett, I feel I have a unique view on what they work for and what they achieve. I have seen first hand the unconditional and pure love and kindness that they express towards anyone who requires their help.

Love, Light, Romania is close to my heart, not just because Jo and Ron are my parents, but because the individuals they help are treated like actual family, never anything less. Jo and Ron will stop at nothing to help others and I have seen first-hand the long days and nights, their hard work and effort and also their amazing results. This is why I am participating in the step4love challenge and raising money for Love, Light, Romania.

Love Light Romania’s projects are very important for so many people and I am delighted to join in the effort to raise funds for such an important cause.

All the people that are helped by Love Light Romania are treated with respect, love and understanding. Whether it is in the field of HIV support, children who are at risk of abandoning school, breaking the cycles of poverty or institutionalized adults, Love Light Romania always tries to understand what people genuinely need, before offering support. This means that they can get the best results possible.

The money raised via this sponsored challenge will go towards helping people who have been abandoned by society and their families. I am talking to the Government about how to get these needs addressed at national level and in the meantime Love Light Romania is doing fantastic work that we should all get behind.

I am looking forward (!) to doing 10,000 steps each day in May to raise awareness of the work of Love Light Romania. I have supported this charity for twenty years and have visited many times. I know first hand the amazing work that is done and have seen the benefits and happy faces!

As an Ambassador and passionate advocate for the work of Love Light Romania, I am pleased and excited to be joining the Step 4 Love challenge. I have been privileged enough to see the work the charity does first hand for many years, and have witnessed the progress and effect their work has had on so many lives.

I hope by being involved, I will be able to help, even if only in a small way.

Love Light Romania means so much to so many people. Everybody who access Love Light Romania’s services are treated the same as everybody else. There is no judgement, nor assumptions when helping people. We provide services to children who are at risk of abandoning school, we see this as the best way to get them our of the inherited poverty that they live in. We give a family life to institutionalized young adults who didn’t have this privilege whilst growing up. And we help people who suffer from HIV to get the correct treatment, up to date medical check ups and emotion support.

If we can help someone, then we will. The money that is raised via this challenge will help us to help more people.
